Helena Bonham Carter is absolutely beautiful and should not be on this list. Where's Sarah Jessica Parker? She's totally fugly but dresses in ridiculous 'high fashon' so nobody notices.

Hi Ravi,

Take everything away from yourself. Stop letting your parents give you money or working your comfortable job. Make your life a struggle. The man with nothing to lose has everything to gain.

This is the most important point. Often we sabotage ourselves when we think we do not have a choice. In fact we always have a choice.

May I also add 'aim to win, be prepared to lose'?

Hi Ravi,

You have written a nice article, I generally agree with most of the things mentioned there except for a 1 point.

1. Show less emotion. The less emotion you show the more people are likely to really listen.

When it comes to speaking, I believe emotions have to be used appropriately though not overly. Unless we are reading from a news-script, there is no reason why we should not show some emotion when we speak. Unless of course you are saying that we should not show emotion until to the extent that it becomes like a chit-chat session of gossip where people always say 'Wow, ... ... !!!'

I agree one-hundred percent with your article. I am just about to go into my senior year and last year I made similar discoveries as you did. Up until last year, I thought I was terrible at writing. Then my English teacher gave me some really positive comments, and it turns out I enjoy it now.
And teachers really can smell bullshit. Either you read what they asked and bother to understand it or have someone/something else explain it to you. Reading the book will do nothing for you unless you can understand it.
